Dead Wooding
Deadwooding- A term to describe the removal of dead branches from a tree.
This is a common pruning practice amongst reputable companies such as Tree Service Express, INC. Not only will removing deadwood make your tree(s)/property look more appealing but it helps with branches breaking off in storms as well.
Most of the time when you are removing deadwood, you should also remove dying or diseased branches as well. This is called a crown clean and should be scheduled as regular maintenance. When removing dead, dying, or diseased branches you are assisting in your tree(s) overall health and longevity. This can help reduce disease, pests, and possibility of decay spreading depending on the location of the tree(s).
